The Company was established in 1945 under the name Electric Construction & Equipment Co Ltd and changed to its present name with effect from 5th June, 1987.
The main object of the company is manufacture of Transformers, Lifts & Switchgears and other Components, Meters, GLS, Fluorescent and MV lamps.The company also renders services like Turnkey Electrical Installation Railway traction Installations, Passengers and Goods lifts.
The company has installed in technical collaboration with Toshiba and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan a plant for manufacture of Dry Type Transformers, in March 1989 at a cost of Rs 1.20 crs.
2004
-ECE Industries Ltd has informed that the equity shares of the company have delisted from the Delhi Stock Exchange Association Ltd (DSE) wef February 19, 2004.
2009
- ECE Industries Ltd has appointed Shri. Mahendra Kumar Jajoo as an additional director on the Board of the Company with effect from January 24, 2009.
