The Company was incorporated in 1936. The company manufactures, Amrutanjan pain balm, Anoleum, Gripe Water, Inhaler, Dermal Ointment, Cetomix cough mixture, Castor Oil, Swas Mints 'Salofin' tablets, Amrutanjan cold rub, 'Hero' Super Pain Balm, Dragon Liquid Balm.

The company has concluded an arrangement for marketing of "Gelax" and Anchor brands of Isabgol with M/s Unjha Formulations in southern states as well as North Eastern parts of the country.

Amrutanjan Leasing & Finance Ltd & Amrutanjan Fine Chemicals Ltd are the subsidiary companies.

2001- Amrutanjan has announced a liberal bonus issue by capitalising Rs 1.6 crore reserve for the benefit of small shareholders.

2004

-Winds up its printing and packaging arm, Egattur Printing and Packaging Ltd

2007

- Company name has been changed from Amrutanjan Ltd to Amrutanjan Health Care Ltd.

2009

- Amrutanjan Health Care Ltd has informed that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 25, 2009 has co-opted Mr. A Satish Kumar as an Additional Director of the Company under Section 260 of the Companies Act, 1956 with effect from June 25, 2009.

2010

-Amrutanjan Health recommend payment of Final Dividend of Rs. 10/- per share (100%) on the Equity Share

2011

-Amrutanjan acquires Fruitnik for Rs 26.2 crore

2012

-Amrutanjan Health Care has recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 10/- per share

-Company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Rs 2.

2013

-Board has recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 2/- per share.

2014

-Board has recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 2.20/- (110%) per share.

2016

-Amrutanjan Health Care Limited has informed that the Scheme of Amalgamation of M/s. Amrutanjan Pharmaessense Private Limited (Transferor) with M/s. Amrutanjan Health Care Limited (Transferee) was approved by the National Company law Tribunal (NCLT) , Chennai

2017
-Company Informed to exchange that NCLT has approved the Amalgamation of Amrutanjan Pharmaessense Private Limited with M/s. Amrutanjan Health Care Limited.

2018
-The Company has splits its face value from Rs. 2/- to Rs. 1/-.
