Unimin India Limited (Unimin) is an existing profit making and dividend-paying, closely held, Public Limited Company, engaged in the manufacture of PVC Compounds and small diameter pipes. The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on the 18th December, 1981 and later converted into a Public Limited Company by a Special Resolution passed on the 30th December 1988. Fresh Certificate of incorporation, consequent on the change of name, was obtained on the 18th May, 1989. Unimin has its Registered Office at New Delhi and its manufacturing facilities at Noida and Daman (Union Territory), 200 kms. north of Bombay on Maharashtra - Gujarat Border in Western India.
The Company's Unit at Noida started commercial production of PVC Compounds in 1985. The Company commissioned another Unit at Daman in December 1991 for manufacture of PVC Compounds and small diameter pipes. Unimin has a total installed capacity of 22,000 TPA for PVC Compounds/Plastic Powder and 4,000 TPA for PVC Pipes and Fittings.
