Promoted by Shri Prabhu Dayal Sureka and his sons Shri Narendra Kumar Sureka and Shri Pradeep Kumar Sureka, Tuni Textile Mills Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 6th July, 1987 and was converted into a Public Limited Company by passing a Special Resolution u/s 31 of the Act on 25th March, 1992 and certificate dated 6th August, 1992 was obtained from Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra to that effect. The Company is engaged in the manufacture of synthetic fabric having a plant at MIDC, Murbad, Dist. Thane. The Company commenced commercial production at the said plant in February 1989.
The Company has been manufacturing shirting fabric and marketing the same through dealers mainly in the Bombay textile market. It has been operating 42 Ruti 'C' 220 cms looms. Besides this the Company gets its job done on around 300 looms owned by outsiders on contract basis. At present the Company manufactures around 75 lakh meters fabric per annum. Raw material i.e. yarn is being purchased from Reliance Industries Ltd., Century Enka Ltd., Parasrampuria synthetics Ltd., Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd., Konkan Fibres, Priyadarshini Spinning Mills Ltd.. Orient Syntex Ltd
2011 -Company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Re 1.
