The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company manufacturing tea by using the green leaf harvested from estates and green leaf purchased. Its chairman is Mr.Sivasailam. It is company beloning to Chamraj Group.
1922
-UNTE was formed with a capital of Rs.5,00,000
-Allada Valley, (along with small bungalow) was bought for Rs.1,00,000.
1923
-Chamraj and Rockland Estate (with small factory) were bought for Rs.1,34,000
1926
-Part of Devarshola Estate was bought for Rs.1,00,000 and renamed Devabetta Estate.
1928
-Kodery valley estate was bought for Rs .1,60,000.
1930
-A new factory was built in Devabetta Estate.
1934
-This factory was destroyed by fire. Instead of rebuilding it, the Directors decided to expand the capacity of the existing Chamraj factory.
1942
-All the debentures were redeemed.
1954
-The Company acquired Korakundah Estate form Tea Estates India Limited for Rs.9,00,000 (2287 acres).
1961
-Stanes & Company sold their shares to Amalgamations.
1969
-A factory was built in korakundah to cope with increase in crops. 1974
-2.35 acres were purchased at Coimbatore from T. Stanes& Co. where the Company's present registered office is situated.
1982
-As Chamraj and Korakundah were both manufacturing Orthodox type of teas, a need was felt to have a C.T.C factory hence Kodery Valley factory was built.
1988
-40 acres of land near Allada Estate was acquired.
1994
-The new Administrative Office at Coimbatore was built.
1996
-UNTE sets up its own R&D facility.
2004
-UNiTEA ties up with Wellington Enterprises for tea marketing
2010
-The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Limited has recommended a final dividend of Rs.1.25 per share (12.5%)

-The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Limited has recommended a final dividend of Rs.1.25 per share (12.5%).
