The company has grown to be a leader in industrial thermal technology in India in the field of industrial furnaces for steel plant, rolling mills and kilns for steel and chemicals industry coal gasification plant and energy management system.
The company has absorbed the technology of coal gasification from its collaboration.
Currently, the company has collaboration for Transfer of Technology from Stein Heurtey, France Waermestelle Stein Und Erden GmbH, West Germany and Georg Mendheim, GmbH, West Germany.
The company proposed to embark upon a substantial expansion programme in order to intensify its design and engineering capabilities.

- Vulcan Engineers Ltd has appointed Mr. Davide Nassuato as Managing Director (MD) subject to approval of the shareholders and the Central Government.
- Vulcan Engineers Ltd has appointed Mr. Nicola Obert as additional Director (Independent) at its meeting held on May 28, 2010. He has also been appointed as member of the Audit Committee.
