The Company was incorporated on August 13, 1993 in the State of Maharashtra at Bombay in the name and style of Mafatial Lubricants Limited and obtained the certificate of Commencement of Business on 9th December, 1993.
At the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Members of the Company held on January 17, 1994 it was proposed to change the name of the Company from Mafatlal Lubricants Limited to Motul Mafatial Lubricants Limited and accordingly, the name of the Company was changed on July 4, 1994.
