Brindavan Gardens Ltd. was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on 21st December 1992 and obtained certificate of commencement of business on 16th March 1993. The main objects of the company are to establish export oriented projects of Aquaculture, Animal Husbandry, Orchards, Resorts and Agrobased Industries.
The Company is setting up a semi-intensive aquaculture farm consisting of:
1. A Fresh Water Prawn Farm with 3.00 hectares water spread area and
2. A Sea Water Shrimp Farm with 24.22 hectares water spread area.
The fresh water prawn farm is located in the village of K. Santhamer just 5 kms south off Tiruchinapalli. The inland prawn farm has already been established in 4.8 hectares land with water spread area of 3 hectares. The commercial production has already commenced.
The sea water shrimp farm of 27.64 hectares of land stretch with water spread area of 24.22 hectares is proposed to be located in the Eastern sea shore near Thondi at Kalia Nagari Village, Thiruvadanai Taluka, Ramnad District of Tamil Nadu. Semi Intensive Farming is proposed to be taken up in this project.
