The company was incorporated on 4th December, 1984 and obtained the certificate of commencement of business on 25th January 1985. was promoted by Dr. K.S.N. Prasad along with K. Ravindra Babu and Ramesh Babu.
APIDC also participated in the equity capital of the company. A factory for manufacture of ordinary portland cement was established with installed capacity of 66000 Tpa based on vertical shaft Kiln technology at Yapalamdharam village in Nalgonda district of AP.
1989 - Allotted 11,65,000 shares to promoters and their associates and 1,01,200 shares to APIDC. 14,13,000 shares then issued at par of which 33,000 shares were reserved and allotted to APIDC. Another 1,34,000 shares were reserved for preferential allotment to the employees of the Company (none were taken up). The balance 12,46,000 shares alongwith 1,34,000 shares not taken up by employees were offered for public subscription during November 1989 (only 9,300 shares taken up). The balance 13,70,700 shares divided on the underwriters (5,46,300 shares on IFCI; 5,46,300 shares on IDBI and 2,78,100 shares on ICICI).
1992 -462,500 shares were allotted.
1995 - The Company proposed to increase the expansion of plant capacity by another 33,000 tonnes per annum in order to avail the increased excise concession to V.S.K. Technology based units from 66,000 tonnes to 99,000 tonnes.
