YEAR EVENTS

1980 - Surana Strips Limited was originally incorporated on 5th March,
as M/s. Medak Stainless Rolling Private Limited.

- The company was originally promoted by Shri V.B. Bajaj, Shri
Vijay L. Delhikar and Shri G.A. Gopal. The company came under
the management of Ranka Group in the year 1983 and the main
promoters were Shri Ratanchand Ranka, Shri Devichand Ranka and
Shri Mahender Kumar Ranka.

1986 - The name was changed to M/s. Ranka Alloys & Strips Pvt.Ltd. on
4th April. The company was taken over by the promoters of the
Surana Udyog group viz., Mr. G.P. Surana, Mr. G.P. Surana, Mr.
Narender Surana and Mr. Devendra Surana in the year 1987.

1987 - The name of the company was changed to M/s. Surana Strips Pvt.
Ltd., on 15th September, which subsequently became a deemed
public company w.e.f. 1st July, 1990.

1992 - The company was converted from deemed public company to public
limited company w.e.f. 4th November. The company thus became
part of the Surana Udyog group of industries having a turnover of
Rs.100 crores.

- The company manufactures Cold Rolled Steel Strips of narrow width
upto 400 mm with a capacity of upto 20,000 MT per annum.

1992 - The Company has embarked on an expansion plan and the present
installed capacity is proposed to be increased from 20,000 tonnes
to 50,000 tonnes by setting up a new plant of 4-Hi Rolling Mill.

- The company has made a Rights Issue of 723,800 Equity Shares of
Rs.10/- each at a premium of Rs.20/- per share aggregating to
Rs.217.14 lacs.

1993 - The Company has issued during the year 1,584,000 Shares of
Rs.10/- each at a premium of Rs.20/- per share aggregating to
Rs.475.20 lacs to the public.

1997 - Surana Strips proposes to seek the consent of shareholders at
the ensuing EGM For buying back its own shares.

2000 - The Company has decided to allot 40,70,000 No. of equity shares
to the core promoters of the company, Mr. G.P. Surana, his
associates and group companies, on preferential basis.

2009

- The Company has changed from "Surana strips Ltd." to "P. M. Telelinnks Ltd."
