The Company was incorporated on 21st February, 1989 and received its Certificate of Commencement of Business on 14th April, 1989 under the name of IIT Capital Services Limited and is since then a wholly owned subsidiary of Industrial Investment Trust Limited.

The Company has promoted by Industrial Investment Limited (IIT), one of the oldest investment companies of repute in India, is engaged in the business of investment and financial services since the last sixty years. The history of the promoters of IIT goes all the way back to the year 1856 with the foundation of Premchand Roychand one of the founders of Bombay Stock Exchange and was a leader in cotton and bullion markets and among the prominent personalities associated with the financial markets of his time. By the 1920's, the firm of Premchand Roychand and Sons was established as a leader in the field of financial services. It was on this remarkable foundation that his sons Sir. Kikabhai (who was knighted by the British Government for his contribution to the financial services sector in India) and Maneklal Premchand promoted IIT-a closed and Investment Trust in 1933.

From its beginnings in 1933, IIT has developed into professional financial services organisation with an employee strength of more than 150-spread over offices at Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta, Ahmedabad and Madras. IIT has also received registration from SEBI as Category I Merchant Bankers. IIT through its subsidiaries offers a whole range of financial services. The other subsidiary companies are IIT Corporate Services Limited and IIT Invest Trust Limited).

At present, the Company is engaged in leasing and hire purchase of plant and machinery, office equipment, computer and vehicles, financing of consumer durables, bill discounting and corporate finance.
