The Company was incorporated on 22nd March, 1982 at Bombay. It was promoted jointly by the State Industrial and Investment Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd. and Akliebolaget Bofors, Nebel Chemator. Sweden, Dyno Industries A/s of Norway and Swedish Fund for Industrial co-operation with Developing Countries (Sweden).
The main objects of the Company is to manufacture nitro glycerine based Industrial explosives.
The Company entered into Joint Sector agreement with BOFORS and a technical collaboration agreement for process know-how for manufacturing of Nytro-Glycerine based Industrial explosives, basic agricultural and building construction drawing with layout plans, detailed specifications and drawing for all equipments.
