Key Audit Matters

How the Key Audit Matters was addressed in our audit

1

Revenue Recognition:

Refer note 2.2 to the standalone financial statements
for the material accounting policy on revenue
recognition and details of revenue recognised
during the year.

Revenue is a key performance measure for the
Company. Revenue of the Company mainly consists
of sale of Granite Blocks and related products to its

transfer of control over the products sold.

Company recognises the sale of goods, based on
shipping terms which varies with different customers
which defines the timing of revenue recognition.

Our audit procedures in respect of this matter included the

following but not limited to:

1. Evaluated the appropriateness of the Company’s
revenue recognition accounting policies as required
under the applicable accounting standards.

2. Obtained an understanding of process and tested the
design, implementation and operating effectiveness of
key controls around the timely and accurate recording

Key Audit Matters

How the Key Audit Matters was addressed in our audit

In respect of sale transactions executed near to the
balance sheet date, it is essential to ensure that the
control of goods has transferred to the customers
and there are no unfulfilled obligations regarding
these sales. Tracking of the delivery evidence and
ascertaining revenue recognition against each
Invoice date is a manual exercise, accordingly cut
off for revenue is considered as a significant account
balance for audit consideration.

4.

Ensured completeness and existence assertion by
performing substantive testing on selected samples
of revenue transactions recorded during the year
by testing the underlying documents including sale
orders/contracts, invoices, goods dispatch notes
and shipping documents, wherever applicable and
obtaining independent balance confirmation from the
customers at the balance sheet date.

2

Inventory:

Refer to Note 2.2 of the standalone financial
statements for the Company’s accounting policy on
inventory valuation.

Inventory comprises of finished goods in the form
of granites blocks. This was determined a key audit
matter, as the measurement of these inventory
quantities lying at the Company’s premises is
complex and involves significant judgements and
estimates resulting from measuring the volume/
quantity of the block of granite and classification
into various grades. The Company uses internal
experts, as applicable, to perform physical count and
assessments of grading, basis which the quantities
and net realisable values of these inventories are
estimated.

Our audit procedures in respect of this matter included the

following but not limited to:

1. Understanding and evaluating the design and testing
the operating effectiveness of controls over the physical
count process and measurement of such inventory,
basis of classification into various grades;

2. Evaluated that the Company’s inventory valuation
policy is in compliance with Ind AS-2 ‘Inventories.

3. Evaluation of the competency and capabilities of the
management’s internal experts;

4. Physically observing inventory measurement and
count procedures carried out by management using
internal experts to assess its appropriateness and
completeness;

5. Verifying the subsequent sales of the granite block to
justify the carrying value;

6. Obtaining and inspecting inventory measurement and
physical count results for such inventories, including
assessing and evaluating the results of analysis
performed and adjustments made by Company’s
management in respect of differences between book
and physical quantities.
