YEAR EVENTS
1991 - Amit Spinning Industries Ltd. was incorporated on 18th November.
Manufacture of cotton yarn.

1993 - During October the Company offered 69,50,000 No. of equity
shares of Rs. 10 each for cash at par of which 15,00,000
shares were offered to NRIs (All were taken up). 6,00,000
shares were offered to the shareholders of Arunoday Mills
(All were taken up). 1,50,000 shares were offered to employees
(only 1,14,700 shares taken up). 45,00,000 shares were offered
to the public. (All were taken up including the unhsubscribed
portion of employees).

1994 - A separate Company `Ketis Services Pvt. Ltd.' was promoted to
look after personnel services, marketing services, cotton
selection advice and technical services for all spinning units
of the group as a measure of cost reduction and economy.

1995 - The Company proposed to set up a 100% EOU project for
installation of 25,200 spindles to manufacture single and double
ply yarn in the 20s and 30s range at Maharashtra. The project
was implemented with an installed capacity of 20,160 spindles
in April, 1995 and the commercial production was commenced on
30th June.

1997 - The Company issued 3,00,000-16% Redeemable Cumualtive Preference
shares of Rs. 100 each redeemable at par on the expiry of 5
years from the date of allotment i.e. 26th March.

2006

--Registered Office of the Company has been shifted to Gat No. 47 & 48, Sangavade Village, Kolhapur-Hupari Road, Taluka - Karveer, Dist. Kolhapur - 416 005 (Maharastra).


2008

-The Company has received ITID Quality Excellence Award 2008 and National Energy Conservation Awards 2008.

2019

-The Company name has changed to Girnar Spintex Industries Ltd. from Amit Spinning Industries Ltd.
