The Company was incorporated an March 31, 1987 as a Private limited Company in the State at Rajasthan. The name of company was changed to EMGEE CABLES AND COMMUNICATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED and approval at Central Government under section 21 at the Companies Act, 1956 was obtained an 30th November, 1994. The Company was then converted into a Public Limited Company an December 5, 1994 by a Special Resolution and fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained from the Registrar of Companies, on December 16, 1994 consequent to the change of name of the Company.

The company was established to carry on the business of manufacturing of all kinds of electrical and tele-communication cables etc. The Company has set up its plant at Jaitpura, Jaipur in 1988 at an estimated cost of
Rs.38.86 Lacs which was financed by promoters and by way of term loan of Rs.26.14 lacs from Rajasthan Financial Corporation. Subsequently the Company has installed some balancing equipments and added quality upgradation and research and development equipments in its Laboratory. The Company has started its commercial production an 1st January, 1988. It has an installed capacity of 61.65 lacs mtrs at cables and has not increased its capacity since inception.

The Company has made a break through in export market in the year 1991-92 and its exports has increased from Rs.0.84 lacs to Rs.59.24 Lacs during the year 1993-94.

During last two years the Company has achieved capacity utilisation more than 100%.
