Doon Valley Rice Limited (DVRL) is an existing profit making entity engaged in the procurement, shelling, processing and marketing of Rice in the International Market. The Company has been engaged in this business under the name of Doon Valley Rice Limited (previously UCHANA
RICE & GENERAL MILLS, Partnership Firm). The Company was initially incorporated as a Partnership Firm on 5th December, 1979. On 8th November, 1994 it was reconstituted into a Public Limited Company under Part IX of the Companies Act, 1956, as the then Partnership Firm had all
the characteristics of the Joint Stock Company.

The Company has not faced any labour problems or closure earlier. There are no pending litigations against any of the Directors of the Company in respect of tax liabilities or any criminal/civil prosecution for any offense except disputed purchase Tax Demand of Rs.27,56,725.87 by the
excise and Taxation Department, Karnal, Haryana against the Company.

PRESENT BUSINESS

DVRL is presently engaged in the manufacturing and exporting of Rice Milling of Basmati/Non-Basmati Rice at its plant located at outside Jundla Gate, Karnal. The total Capacity of the plant is 6 metric tonnes per hour.

2003 - The company has become potential sick company, based on Audited Financial Results of the company financial results for the year ended March 31, 2003.

2006

-Delists equity shares from Delhi, Ahmedabad and Jaipur Stock Exchanges with effect from January 02, 2006, February 27, 2006 and January 16, 2006 respectively.
