Dharani Finance Limited (DFL) is an existing, profit making Company engaged in financial services, promoted by the PGP Group of Companies.

The Company was incorporated as Public Limited Company on 10th May, 1990 and obtained the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 25th June, 1990. The Company initially started with a capital base of Rs.12.79 lakhs and this was increased gradually to Rs.87.86 lakhs in 1992.

The Company is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of eminent personalities with Dr. Palani G. Periasamy being the Chairman ofthe Company. The Company is presently active in the field of Lease/Hire Purchase and Bill Discounting.

The company is primarily engaged in the business of providing Hire Purchase finance, Lease Finance and other financial services like Bills Discounting.

The Company was promoted by the PGP Group. The Group was promoted by Dr. Palani G.Periasamy. Dharani Cements Limited, Dharani Sugars & Chemicals Limited, Pallava Hotels Corporation Limited and PGP International (India) are the group companies of Dharani finance.

The company does not have any subsidiaries.

2001 - CARE has downgraded the rating assigned to the FD programme of
Dharani Finance Ltd. from BB- to B.

- Company has recommended a dividend of 5% on 49972000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each for the year ended March 31, 2008.

- DharniFinance Ltd.has recommended a dividend of Re. 0.50 per share of Rs. 10/- each.
