The Company was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on May 17, 1993 vide Certificate of Incorporation No.18-25063 of 1993 issued by the Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu at Madras under the name and style "Q-Flex Cables Ltd." The Company was entitled to commence business as per the Certificate of Commencement of Business dated June 24, 1993.
The Company proposes to set up a unit for the manufacture of Power Supply Cord, Power Cable, Plastic Insulated Cable and Ignition Wiring Sets. The unit is proposed to be set up at Kandigal Village, Chengelpet Taluk, Chengelpel MGR District, Tamil Nadu.
Though the Company was incorporated in the year 1993, the Promoters took the necessary time to finalise the financial arrangements, technical (machinery) arrangements and marketing strategies. Once all these were finalised, the Promoters started placing the orders for machinery from April 1995. Hence the delay in commencement of the project.

-Q-Flex Cables enters into software development
2007
-Company name has been changed from Q-Flex Cables Ltd to Cybele Industries Ltd.
-Q-Flex Cable has entered into a joint venture agreement with M/s. Vijayshanti Builders Ltd, Chennai
2009
-Mr. N Karuppiah and Mr. Sunny Kutty George are appointed as Independent directors of the Company with effect from January 31, 2009.
